ESD Points Series
OFFICIAL RULES

This event is intended as a reward for the players of eligible leagues under Empire State Darts (see below). Non ESD players will be allowed as our guest to participate in one series as an enticement to join the league. Afterward, they must become a member of an eligible league to participate.

Empire State Darts reserves the right to limit the number of non ESD players. It is expected that you have some form of stats from the league you currently are in. If you currently are not playing in a league, ESD will make a determination to allow that player as a guest.

You must have a hotbutton to participate in this series.
*** The hotbutton requirement may be changed. We are contemplating having a cutoff date for registration which would allow us to draw pairs up to 2 days prior to the event. That would also give us the chance to collect stats for all playes participating, and make logging in for your matches easier. ***
Use of the hotbutton is required to track stats, and establish proper averages.
Hotbuttons can be obtained through Jeff at Empire State Darts for $15.
Hotbuttons must be setup with the player's name - No nicknames please.

The series consists of 5 "Qualifiers", and 2 "Finale" events.
Finales are classified as "Gold Finale" and "Silver Finale".

Players earn entry into either Finale via points earned from Qualifiers.

Additional Info
-------------
How A-B Draw works...Based on stats of people of people attending, they are split into a top half (A Pool), and bottom half (B Pool). When the draw happens, each team will be comprised of one person from each pool. This will prevent any Super Teams getting drawn together. The best player attending can be paired only with the best person out of the B pool. This will help keep the teams fair.

  • The event runs just like a blind draw tournament with Double Elimination.
  • Matches will be either Best 3 or Best of 5 dependng on attendance.
  • Best of 3 Format is Team 501, Stacked Cricket, Stacked 701.
  • Best of 5 Format is Team 501, Stacked Cricket, Team 501, Stacked Cricket, Stacked 701.
  • To determine who starts, Flip a coin to see who shoots first in Team 501, Loser shoots first thereafter until the tiebreaker. Diddle to shoot first in Stacked 701.
